There’s a distinction that actress Shriya holds. She was the sole survivor among heroines at a time when Malayalam heroines ruled the roost here, from Nayantara and Asin to Bhavana. And even when many of her heroines have bid goodbye to Kollywood, Shriya is still here, with enviable five projects in hand.

Ask her about whether she sees Tamannah and Nayantara as competitors, and she coolly says “If Nayantara and Tamannah are like gold, I am like platinum. I have no competitor.”

The actress explains her statement by saying she cannot be compared with these actresses, who are largely confined to South India. “I have gone to not just Bollywood, but have been part of English films too. That’s why I say I have no comparison,” reveals the actress, who is working on ‘Jaggubhai’, ‘Chikku Bhukku’, even as she awaits the release of ‘Mallanna’ and ‘Kutty’(Tamil).
